Social Media: a house of mirrors where everyone’s taller, wiser, hotter, and way more profound than they really are. A carnival of self-portraits disguised as revelations. Step right up. Applause sold separately.
This is the opener that was exactly what the client didn't want for a
presentation on social media. It was totally off-base for what they wanted and
their voice.
But I liked it. So after I edited it out of an early draft, I saved it to post
here.
And on social media. Hmmmm.
I thought it paired nicely with this cartoon from ex-copywriter Hugh MacLeod.
